Feeding ducks bread is bad!!
Bread, chips, crackers, and similar bread-type products, are the most common food items given to ducks and waterfowl. These items are the least nutritious and most unhealthy foods to feed, and they offer no nutritional value for ducks, waterfowl and other birds.
In fact, bread is the equivalent to junk food for the birds!! Too much bread can lead to excessive weight and malnutrition as well as many other problems. Duckling’s growth and development is very much effected by eating too much bread
Ducks and wild birds, should never!! Be fed   any foods that are spoiled or mouldy.
Mouldy bread can cause asperegellosis. A fatal!! lung infection.
 So please, Never mouldy food.

There are many other types of food that can be offered to ducks, geese, and swans as part of a healthy and nutritious diet.
The best foods for ducks are those that provide the nutrients, minerals and vitamins the birds need for healthy growth and development. Many of these foods are similar to the natural seeds, grains and plants the birds will forage for on their own. The best foods to offer ducks include:  whole maize/mixed corn Wheat/ Barley/ Oats/ Grapes (washed and cut in half) Frozen peas or sweet corn (defrosted)

Excess food in the water can create excess waste and pollution.
